Our famous Ghost Corner allows for the couple to have some privacy in the restaurant whilst eating a fabulously prepared dinner whilst sipping on delicious wine from our award-winning wine list. This corner table for two is placed in such a way that it is not only comfortable but can also be made private to ensure that you are not interrupted during your special moment – whether it is a ring placed in champagne or a fortune cookie or just the traditional after dinner proposal that will have you on your knee – chivalry style.
Other ideas include a romantic dinner or picnic on the lawns next to the Lion’s River. Blindfold your love as you walk her down to the river and seat her at a beautifully lit table – creating that feeling of romance and intimacy and be served under the stars and moonlight, before popping the question and of course, the champagne. Try dinner in The Cellar where you are surrounded by fabulous wines, an intimate setting for a private moment to share together.
To top that, one of our honeymoon suites can be booked out for the night to ensure the most romantic time with your “fiancé-to-be”. Ask the staff to arrange petals on the bed as it spells out “will you marry me”, before taking your love out to the balcony with the sound of the river passing you by, where dinner or dessert can be set up by candlelight to enjoy the night together as a happy couple.
